BREWING TIPS

HOW TO BREW THE PERFECT HOT CUPPA

All hot herbal teas are best made in a warmed teapot or cup. Simply swish a little boiled water around the pot or cup and tip it out just prior to brewing your tea.

Place 2-4 teaspoons in a medium teapot (approx 1 teaspoon per cup of water) Fill with freshly boiled filtered water Cover and allow to infuse for 3-5 minutes. Alternatively use a single serve tea infuser and make in a cup or mug following the same procedure above.

Extra tip: Green tea is a little more fragile and is best made with water that has boiled yet been allowed to cool for just under a minute before being poured over the tea leaves. Its best infused for 2-3 minutes.

HOW TO BREW THE PERFECT ICED TEA

Iced tea can be made with any Manataka tea. Easy to prepare and on when it's hot out they're truly refreshing and thirst quenching.

Place 4-8 teaspoons of tea into a jug (special iced tea jugs are available if desired). A greater amount of dried herb will produce a stronger flavour.

Add enough freshly boiled water to cover the tea.

Infuse for 5-15 minutes depending on the tea chosen and desired strength (Longer for herbal or fruit blends, less for green and black teas)

Strain and leave to cool to room temperature

Cover and refrigerate

On serving, add fresh ice to fill and garnish as desired (Think of fresh fruit such as oranges, lemons, limes, apples or strawberries or spice up your tea with cinnamon sticks, mint, rose buds, lemongrass etc. Honey may be added to sweeten should it take your fancy however you'll find most of our teas taste good without it!

Give it a good stir and serve immediately.
